Yogurt that is frozen...aka "frozen yogurt"

What I've eaten recently: I had three little cups of yogurt today. THREE...oops...I think I have found a new favorite. When I was describing my newfound delight in my yogurt cups fresh from the freezer to Trisha, I said, "You know, I have this new thing. I LOVE yogurt that is...well, frozen!" To which she responded, "Oh ya...sooooo you mean you love 'frozen yogurt'?" haha...I suppose I do. I don't know. I kinda have a problem with the term "frozen yogurt" though. You see, when you go to an ice cream shop and order frozen yogurt, it is usually in the same form as ice cream (which makes me wonder if it's actually frozen yogurt or if it's actually the same nutritional value as real ice cream, and just called "frozen yogurt" for the sake of marketing...but that's a whole other story...). Anyway. Hence my issue of calling me little frozen cup of yogurt "frozen yogurt." From here on in, my new favorite will be called "yogurt that is frozen."

What I'm wearing: shorts and a tank top that I'm going to wear to bed. Gone, and I'll say it again, GONE are the days when I had to wear my flannel AND long underwear to bed...Bring on Spring, Baby!!! AND, Trisha, my genius roomie, found an extra heater output vent in our living room today that had been closed all winter. GRRR...kinda funny, but would have been nice to know it existed back in oh say JANUARY when I was freezing my tush off here on the main floor while upstairs my roomies were being cooked out.

What I'm anticipating: An extension for Thursday's 10-page research paper that I haven't started. I'm also anticipating getting to bed before 1:00 a.m. This is such a treat...Last night was yet another 3:00-er b/c I was typing the last of my 36 page paper that I handed in right before I handed in a seven pager. Yes, that's, count them, FORTY-THREE PAGES total of papers I submitted today alone. Am I a machine, or am I a machine? ARGH. It's confirmed. I'm a machine ;). I'm also anticipating being done this week. I still have three books I need to have read by Monday/Tuesday of next week, another presentation to do on Henry V, a play I still have not read albeit my first of my two presentations I delivered yesterday went fairly well I think. haha, and an IVCF event to organize for Friday night. As far as I know, my frazzled frolic still contains a frolic so it's so far so good.

What I'm missing: My job from last summer. Tonight Kyle, a guy in my ministry team at Hillsdale, brought the man he lives with and cares for who has Down's Syndrome. His name is Chris, and he and I hit it off right away. Chris's comments to me throughout the night were mostly regarding how he didn't have a girlfriend. haha...how subtle and how CUTE!! When Kyle had to take him home to bed he came and gave me a hug and I bubbled inside. Maybe someday God will choose to give me a child with Down's Syndrome. That would be soooo special!!!! After being with Chris, I remembered a lot of my clients from my job in Red Deer last summer and missed them terribly. Maybe this summer I'll have the opportunity to work with people with developmental disabilities again. That would be AWESOME....

What I'm Counting: The weeks left of school. FIVE AND A HALF, or rather 24 days left of class. that's INSANE!!!! insane but VERY exciting. Sure hope I get a summer job!! Any ideas of where I can get one? I'm also beginning to count sheep...

Love you all...It's 12:55 a.m. and I'm about to turn into a pumpkin. G'night and God bless!!!!

hey hon- it just stuck out to me how you love down's syndrome children - what a blessing - You know - in the field I'm in - I know there are a lot of availability for "special needs" adoptions... we should chat one day about that - I love how God gifts us each so differently, giving each person different skills and abilities to love and nurture and support all the different kinds of people here on earth, young, old, persons with disabilities, mental illness, and all kinds of different lives... I love how God makes us all a working body - with so many parts- and I pray he also blesses you with an opportunity to love children like Chris your hold life through... on another note completely - from a former TCBY staff - yes Frozen Yogurt is frozen yogurt - no it is not the same as ice cream and does not have the same nutritional value as real ice cream. At TCBY all the frozen yogurt is 96% fat free - some is 99% fat free... as well, yogurt is healthier for you than cream and includes a fair amount of calcium - so definitely go for the frozen yogurt over the ice cream... (I came to love frozen yogurt intensely while on staff there - it is definitely my downfall... although I still love ice cream)...

Awww...thanks, Becca. I am in severe need of a brunch at Denny's right now after reading your post. I could definitely say the same things about you as you did about me...yes, it IS definitely cool how the Lord has gifted us differently for His purposes. Wow.

PS- thanks for the yogurt clarification ;)
